SCIOTO Properties | Columbus, Ohio | In Office, Easton SCIOTO Properties is growing, and we’re looking for a Paralegal to join our legal team during an exciting period of expansion. For more than two decades, SCIOTO has provided real estate solutions to organizations serving individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Today, SCIOTO owns approximately 2,300 properties across 46 states , with assets under management growing approximately 50% over the past two years. The Opportunity This is a broad, hands-on role for someone who wants more than a narrow legal support position. Working closely with SCIOTO’s experienced Senior Paralegal, you’ll gain exposure across real estate transactions, leases, title and survey, compliance, entity matters and outside counsel . As your knowledge of the business grows, so will your level of ownership and responsibility. What You’ll Do Draft and manage leases, amendments, renewals, modifications and terminations Track lease maturities, expirations and required notices Review title commitments, surveys, deeds and closing documentation Prepare title objections and support acquisition and disposition transactions Manage rental registrations, business licenses and regulatory requirements Support corporate entity formation and annual reporting Maintain accurate legal records and deadline tracking Coordinate with Accounting, Acquisitions, Property Management and outside counsel Set up and maintain lease information in YARDI What We’re Looking For You’re highly organized, detail-oriented and dependable. You care about getting things right, but you’re also comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment where priorities can change quickly. Ideally, you bring: 2–3+ years of relevant real estate, legal or transaction-support experience Working knowledge of real estate transactions, deeds, leases and related documentation #J-18808-Ljbffr
