As a Maintenance Electrical Technician you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally across every area of our facility and influence company performance bymaintainingour equipment. Our Maintenance Technicians are vital tomaintainingour Team Members safety through problem-solving and proactive upkeep. Role Overview

The Maintenance Electrical Technician role entails performing troubleshooting and repair tasks as well as providing technical support across all operational phases. This is a technical career role that demandsproficiencyin various skill clusters including:

• Electrical Controls : Understanding and managing electrical control systems within the operational environment.

• Fluid Power :Expertisein hydraulic and pneumatic systems crucial components in many manufacturing processes.

• Mechanical Systems : Comprehensive understanding of mechanical systems involved in the operation including machinery and equipment.

• Manufacturing Processes : Familiarity with the manufacturing processes specific to Tyson Foods Inc. and the ability to troubleshoot issues within these processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Support : Provide technical support across all operational phases.

• Troubleshooting and Repair : Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks on equipment.

• Team Collaboration : Work effectively within a team collaborating with colleagues to solve problems and enhance operations.

• Communication : Convey technical information effectively and contribute to productive discussions aimed at improving processes and resolving issues.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

• Training beyond high school includes either an associate degree in electronic technology or a closely related technical field preferred OR a combination of education and experience which may include skilled trade programs military training or other training as applicable.

Computer Skills

• Competent in Windows-based software.

• Strong skills in document organization and using document templates.

• Ability to create simple queries.

• Must be proficient or become proficient in SAP Plant Maintenance.

Communication Skills

• Must be able to communicate both verbally and written.

• High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Special Skills

• Good safety and attendance record along with strong interpersonal skills.

• Demonstrated skills in AC/DCcircuitsindustrial electrical systems.

• Experience in electrical safety and lockout/tagout processes and procedures.

• Knowledge in the theory and application of electronic devices such as industrial semiconductors solid-state drives and industrial control systems.

• Experience in the operation of PLC systems and control and datacollectioninstrumentation and transducers.

• Working knowledge and skills in tools and components used in maintenance and repair of mechanical systems such as bearings gears clutches belts and seals.

• Ability to troubleshoot andmaintainhydraulic and pneumatic components and systems.

Preferred Skills

• Basic microcomputer skills necessary to understand the operation and interfacing characteristics of microprocessors.

• Experience in PLC operation to include basic system configuration and hardware relay equivalent instructions timers/counters data manipulation data communications and advanced programming commands as well as interfacing troubleshooting and application and program development.

• Demonstrated skills or training in electronic motor drive technologies including servomotors encoders tachometers electronic and mechanical brakes and clutches closed-loop systems DC servo AC variable frequency AC servo and stepper systems.
